Lorenza Lucchi Basili and Daniele Jost are two contemporary Italian photographers whose works share an interest in glass as a subject. We pair their works with examples of mid-century Modern art glass from Murano to suggest the broad resonance of glass in modern Italian art.

Tesfaye Tessema: Affirmation of the Self

April 3 – May 16, 2008

Trained in Addis Ababa and at Howard University in Washington, D. C., Ethiopian-born Tessema synthesizes African and Western elements to create paintings that speak to the affirmative human experience. Part of the African Cultures Festival.
