RU Art professor, Zheng L. Feng, will exhibit the works he created during
his professional faculty development leave last year.

Baubles, Bangles, and Beads: Jewelry from the
Collection of Dorothy Gillespie
Reception: Thursday, October 12 at 5 p.m.
Distinguished Professor of Art and noted New York artist, Dorothy
Gillespie, has been collecting jewelry for over half a century. This
exhibition will showcase this extraordinary collection, which features
jewelry from around the world.

This annual exhibition shows the breadth of subject matter and media in
current works by RU Art faculty.

The Art of Dorothy Kurgans Goldberg
Reception: Thursday, February 15 at 5 p.m. (Note: This reception will be
preceded by a dedication ceremony of the Goldberg Collection at McConnell
Library.)
This exhibition coincides with the dedication of the Arthur and Dorothy
Goldberg Collection. The Goldberg family has donated the private papers
and books of former Supreme Court Justice, Labor Secretary, and UN
ambassador, Arthur Goldberg, who taught at and was associated with RU from
1987-1990. This exhibition focuses on the artistic works of his wife,
Dorothy Kurgans Goldberg, who was a talented painter and poet.

The Art of Almagul Menlibayev
Almagul Menlibayev of Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a trend setter in the
tradition of “punkromantic Shamanism” of Kazak art. She is noted as one of
the most progressive young artists in all of Almaty. Her "graphics in wax"
works imbued with the elements of fortuity, unpredictability and
spontaneity obey her inward impulses. Menlibayev's work confronts us with
the deep interrelations of man, nature and animals.
