Lassaw: Deep Space and Beyond

Sculptures, drawings, paintings, and prints dating from the late 1920s
through the beginning of the 21st century by world-renowned Abstract
Expressionist Ibram Lassaw. An illustrated catalog co-authored by Arthur
Jones and Denise Lassaw accompanies this exhibition. The show will travel
to the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College in Tarpon
Springs, Florida.
Wednesday,
March 20th thru Sunday, March 29th the Gallery will be closed to the public because
of the BFA Exit and Portfolio Reviews.

The names of these two familiar cultural icons are juxtaposed in such a
way that the viewer is forced to make certain assumptions about them,
and thereby stage plausible confrontations between not only the two
women, but also among various social, cultural, racial, and historical
issues that their names and images imply.
